What is the distance from Aalborg Airport to the centre of Aalborg?

Via the suburb Nørresundby and the Limfjord Bridge (Limfjordsbroen) you can get quickly to the centre of Aalborg, the distance of 7 kilometres / 4.3 miles can be covered in 15 minutes. Hirtshals in the north of Denmark is accessible via the E39 motorway, the journey time is 45 minutes.

Public transport

Bus to Aalborg

From the airport you can take take bus 12, bus 200, bus 70 and bus 71 in the direction of the city, at night you can use night bus N24. The bus stop next to Aalborg’s railway station is named ‘Aalborg Busterminal’. To get to the centre of Aalborg, you should get off at bus stop ‘Vesterbro’. A bus journey between Aalborg Airport and the city centre takes 15 to 20 minutes, travelling to the bus and train station of Aalborg takes a bit longer.

A single ticket you can use for a maximum of 60 minutes costs 24 DKK (2 zones) can be purchased online and from the bus driver. Children up to 15 years and seniors from 67 years pay half the price. Two children up to 11 years travel free of charge in company of a paying adult or senior. Train to Aalborg

It is now possible to travel by train between Aalborg Airport and the city, Aalborg Lufthavn railway station is a 100-metre walk from the terminal. It is the easiest way to travel between Aalborg Airport and Aalborg. Two times per hour there is a train (IC-Lyntog and Regional-tog) in both directions. Travel time to the main railway station in Aalborg is only 11 minutes. Tickets cost 24 DKK for a single ticket (Single ticket DSB/NT), if you are in possession of a Rejsekort the price is 18.30 DKK.
