Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny Airport is one of the largest airports in West Africa. The airport serves Abidjan, the largest city and the financial center of Ivory Coast. The capital of Côte d’Ivoire is Yamoussoukro, 240 kilometres / 149 miles northwest of Abidjan. The airport is named after the first president of Ivory Coast and also known as Port Bouët Airport. Port Bouët is the name of one of the municipalities in the south of Abidjan.
