Public transport

Bus to Addis Ababa

In front of Terminal 2 you will find the airport’s bus station, where blue/white minibuses leave in the direction of the city centre and other destinations. This mode of transport is not as comfortable as the taxi, but a lot cheaper. The price for a single ticket is in most cases 5.00 ETB, keep in mind there is not much room for luggage on board. Before boarding, it is wise to inquire at the airport information desk or fellow travellers, clearly indicate where you want to go. In the future, it is not clear when exactly, the airport will have a metro connection (Addis Ababa Light Rail) with the city. From then on it will be much easier to travel to and from Addis Ababa Bole Airport by public transport.
