Bus to Adelaide
You have a lot to choose from if you want to travel by public transport between Adelaide Airport and the city. Public transportation in Adelaide is carried out by Adelaide Metro. Approximately every 15 minutes you can take bus J1 (in the direction of Elizabeth Interchange) or bus J2 (in the direction of Greenwith) to the city centre and vice versa. Other options you have are bus services J1A, J1G, J1T and J2G. Grenfell Street bus stop in the city centre can be reached in about 25 minutes. All buses depart from bus stop 10 at Adelaide Airport, it’s on your left when you leave the terminal.

If you want to travel by bus to Adelaide, you need to buy a MetroTicket or a metroCARD. A MetroTicket is a single ticket which costs 5.90 AUD in peak hours and 4.00 AUD in off-peak hours. The metroCARD is a rechargeable ticket which costs 5.00 AUD and needs to be charged with at least 5.00 AUD. The advantage of the MetroCARD is that you will receive a discount on every trip. It means, you pay a price of 4.05 AUD for a single journey, at off-peak hours the price is 2.25 AUD for a single journey.
