History
Aegean Airlines was founded in 1987 as Aegean Aviation. The name changed to Aegean Airlines in 1999 and acquired Olympic Air in 2013.

Baggage
Economy passengers can take one piece of cabin baggage with a maximum of 8 kg and one personal item on board. Business class passengers are allowed to take two pieces of hand baggage with a total maximum of 13 kg plus one personal item. Economy GoLight passengers do need to pay an additional fee for checked baggage. Economy Flex passengers can take one piece of checked baggage with a maximum of 23 kg free of charge.
