Air China was founded in 1988 when the Chinese governmental aviation authority decided to split its former flag airline, CAAC Airlines, into six division among which Air China. In 2001, the authority chose to merge one of the six other divisions, China Southwest, into Air China.
Economy Class passengers are allowed to bring 1 piece of cabin luggage with a maximum weight of 5 kg while Business Class passengers can bring each 2 pieces with a maximum weight of 8 kg per piece. Usually, Economy Class passengers can bring each 1 piece of checked luggage with them which can not weight more than 23 kg. Premium Economy travellers can bring 2 pieces of each 23 kg while Business Class and First Class passengers can bring 2 pieces of each 32 kg. Please consult website Air China for more information.
