Air Corsica is a French airline that operates from airports on the island Corsica. The main hub is located on Ajaccio Airport near the capital of Corsica, Ajaccio.
Organization
Air Corsica is for more than 50% owned by Collectivité Territoriale de Corse and for a small part by Air France-KLM. Some of Air France’s flights to Corsica are operated by the airline. The airline has about 700 employees. Air Corsica has three codeshare partners which are Air France, HOP! and Alitalia.

History
The airline was established in 1989 as Compagnie Corse Mediterranee and started operating in 1990. In the years that followed, the airline grew gradually with many more flights from over 15 airports in Europe to Corsica. Nowadays, the airline operates over 30 routes of which are about the half seasonal flights.
