Air Malta is the flag carrier of the island state Malta. The airline’s main business is to transfer visitors from all over Europe to Malta. Air Malta strives to be a safe, positive, guest-oriented, innovative and flexible airline.
Organization
Air Malta’s headquarters is located in Luqa, Malta. The airline is not a member of any alliance but has codeshare agreements with some major European airlines, like among others Air France, Lufthansa, KLM and Swiss.

History
Air Malta was founded in 1973, when the Maltese government decided to start a flag carrier after Malta Air announced to cease its operation in the next year.
Lounges
Air Malta has two lounges at Malta Airport, both are called Le Vallette Club. One lounge is at Departures and one at Arrivals.
Baggage
Every passenger traveling by Air Malta is allowed to take one piece of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg and an additional item with a maximum weight of 2 kg. The amount of checked bags passengers can bring depends on the fare class. Passengers traveling Go Light are not allowed to bring any baggage while passengers with a Go Smart or Go Flex ticket are allowed to bring a suitcase with a maximum weight of 23 kg. Just business passengers can bring one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg while Smart Business travelers are allowed to take two pieces of 23 kg. Business Freedom passengers can take the most luggage, two pieces of 32 kg.
In-flight Wi-Fi
There is no in-flight Wi-Fi on Air Malta aircraft.
