Azores Airlines is an airline operating from the Azores islands. The airline was previously known as SATA Internacional.
Azores Airlines is part of the SATA Group. The group also owns two tour operators: SATA Express and SATA Azores. The airline has about 800 employees.

In 1990 SATA decided to start an airline which would fly to and from the Azores. In 1994, the airline Oceanair started operating these flights for SATA. In 1998 the name of Oceanair was changed to SATA Internacional. In October 2015, SATA decided to renew their airline and changed its name to Azores Airlines.
Passengers that travel Economy Class on an Azores Airlines flight can bring 8 kg of hand luggage while passengers traveling in Executive Class can bring 20 kg onboard.
