History

Belavia was founded on 5 March 1996 as a result of the reconstruction of Belarusian Association of Civil Aviation which was established in 1993. Nonetheless, Belarusian aviation history goes way back. Belarusian civil aviation originated from November 1933, when the inauguration of Minsk-1 Airport took place.
