History
Binter Canarias was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Iberia and started its operation in 1989. The airline was privatised in 1999, at the same moment as Iberia got privatised. In 2002, Iberia sold the airline to the company Hesperia Inversiones Aéreas.
