Blue Air is a regional Low-Cost Carrier with its home base at Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport in Romania. The airline operates flights to multiple destinations across Europe.


Blue Air is owned by four shareholders and has a subsidiary in the Czech Republic, Blue Air Moravia. The airline has about 1,500 employees. The airline became an IATA member in 2016.


The airline Blue Air was founded at the end of 2004. Nine years later, in 2013, the airline was privatised and sold to four different shareholders.
