Bulgaria Air is the flag carrier of Bulgaria and is headquartered in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. The airline flies to over 20 destinations across Europe and the Middle East. Bulgaria Air was founded in 2002 under the name Balkan Air Tour as a successor of Balkan Bulgarian Airlines. Shortly after its establishment, the name Bulgaria Air was adopted. In 2006, it became part of Balkan Hemus Group AG, until that time the airline was owned by the government of Bulgaria.

Every Bulgaria Air passenger is allowed to bring one piece of hand baggage and a personal item with them on board. The amount of checked luggage that you are allowed to bring depends on your travel class, usually this is one piece with a maximum weight of 23 kg for Economy Class passengers and two pieces of 32 kg each for Business Class passengers.
