Buta Airways is a low-cost carrier in Azerbaijan. The airline aims to have the most competitive prices among all airlines that fly to Azerbaijan. Buta Airways flies to destinations within Azerbaijan and airports in Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Iran and Bulgaria.

Buta Airways was founded at the end of 2016 as AZALJet. Shortly after AZAL’s establishment, Azerbaijan Airlines decided that the airline needed to be renamed to Buta Airways which started its operation in September 2017.

Buta Airways passengers are allowed to bring one piece of hand luggage per person. The amount of checked baggage depends on the fare class.
