Drukair was founded in 1981 and began its operation two years later, in 1983. Until 2010, Drukair was the only Bhutanese airline.
Passengers that travel by Drukair flights are allowed to bring 1 piece of cabin luggage with the maximum dimensions of 45x35x20 cm in Economy Class. In Business Class passengers can bring 1 piece of 7 kg with the same dimensions. The amount of checked luggage allowance in Economy Class is 30 kg while in Business Class 40 kg is permitted.
