EasyJet is a British airline and one of Europe’s largest airlines and is the second-largest low-cost airline on the continent. The airline wants to represent itself as an efficient point-to-point carrier.

History

EasyJet was founded in 1995 by the Greek Cypriot businessman Stelios Haji-Ioannou. In 1998 the airline extended their operation to Switzerland and took a stake in EasyJet Switzerland which was formerly known as TEA Switzerland. In 2017, just after the Brexit referendum, easyJet launched the European subsidiary easyJet Europe.
