History
Fiji Airways was founded in 1947 as Katafaga Estates by Harold Gatty. After the foundation, the airline changed its name multiple times. In 1951, the airline changed its name to Fiji Airways. In 1970, the airline changed to Air Pacific and in 2012, the airline got back its previous and current name Fiji Airways. Fiji Link, the subsidiary of Fiji Airways was acquired in 2007 and was called Pacific Sun until 2014 when it received its current name.
Baggage
Every Economy Class passenger can bring 1 piece of cabin luggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg while Business Class passengers can bring 7 kg on ATR aircraft flights and 14 kg (2 pieces) on other flights. The amount of permitted checked baggage for international flights is 23 to 30 kg in Economy Class and 30 to 40 kg in Business Class depending on travel class and destination.
