History
Georgian Airways was founded in September 1993 as Airzena and started its operation in 1994. Airzena became the flag carrier of Georgia in 1999. Five years later, in 2004, the airline changed its name to the current name: Georgian Airways.

Baggage
Economy travellers that fly with Georgian Airways are allowed to bring one cabin bag with a maximum weight of 8 kg while Business Class passengers can bring 12 kg of cabin luggage. In addition, all passengers are permitted to bring an additional personal item. The permitted amount of check-in luggage depends on the travel class. Economy Light passengers are only permitted to bring hold luggage at additional costs while Economy Standard passengers are allowed to bring one piece of 23 kg.
