History
Malaysia Airlines was founded in 1947 as Malayan Airways. In 1966, the airline changed its name to Malaysia-Singapore Airlines and later in 1972 to Malaysian Airline System (MAS). After the accidents of flight MH370 and MH17, the airline only recorded loses and came up with a recovery plan which led to the restructuration of the airline. As a result of this restructuration, the airline got rebranded to Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB).
