Pakistan International Airlines is the flag carrier of Pakistan. The airline is Pakistan’s largest and it operates to destinations within Asia but also flies to Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
Pakistan International Airlines is for the largest part owned by the Aviation Department of the Government of Pakistan. The airline has four non-aviation subsidiaries and over 13,000 employees.

The airline was founded in 1946 as Orient Airways. In 1955, the airline changed its name to Pakistan International Airlines.
Every passenger that travels with Pakistan International Airlines is permitted to bring 1 piece of cabin luggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg with them. Business Class passengers are allowed to bring a small additional piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 5 kg with them on board.
