History
Pegasus Airlines was founded in 1989 by Silkar Yatırım and Net Holding in cooperation with the Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus. The airline started its first operation in 1990. In the years that followed, the airline grew steadily and become the largest low-cost airline in Turkey and in the region.

Baggage
Travellers that fly with Pegasus can bring 1 piece of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 8 kg. The amount of allowed hold baggage depends on the ticket class. Passengers travelling in Basic need to pay an additional fee to bring checked baggage. Passengers travelling in the travel class Essentials and Business Flex are allowed to bring 15 kg on domestic flights and 20 kg on international flights.
