Shanghai Airlines was founded in 1985 and merged into China Eastern Airlines in 2009.
The baggage allowance for Shanghai Airlines flights is the same as the allowance of its parent company China Eastern Airlines. Passengers in Business and Economy Class are permitted to bring 1 piece of cabin luggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg on board. First Class passengers can take 2 pieces of each 10 kg as cabin luggage. The amount of free checked baggage is at least 20 kg for Economy Class passengers, 30 kg for Business Class passengers and 40 kg for First Class passengers. On several routes, passengers are permitted to take more weight and pieces on their flight.
