Smartwings is a Czech low-cost airline that operates flights to several European destinations. The airline wants to be the first choice for air passengers. Smartwings promises to bring travellers safe and reliable to its European destination.
Smartwings is a brand of the Czech leisure company Travel Service. The airline has subsidiaries in three European countries: Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Czech Airlines, the flag carrier of the Czech Republic, is also part of Smartwings. The airline has about 1,200 employees.

Smartwings is founded in 1997 as Travel Service, which has been owned by several different airlines over the years. Nowadays, the airline is owned by Smartwings Group which bought 98% of Czech Airlines’ shares in 2014. In December 2018, Smartwings Group decided to rename the airline to its current name, Smartwings.

Economy Class passengers can bring 1 piece of cabin baggage with a maximum weight of 8 kg and 1 personal item with a maximum weight of 3 kg.
