Wizz Air is a Hungarian low-cost airline that is nowadays the third-largest budget airline in Europe. The airline operates flights all across Europe, focussing on destinations in Eastern Europe. The airline wants to make flying affordable for all travellers in the EU while focussing on innovation.
Organization
Wizz Air had subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine which later merged in Wizz Air (Hungary). Wizz Air has now only one subsidiary, Wizz Air UK. The airline employs nowadays over 3,000 people.

History
Wizz Air was founded in 2003 by six airline experts that worked together with CEO József Váradi. These experts got the airline registered in only 3 months. Eventually, the airline started operating in May 2004 with a flight departing from Katowice. In May 2017, the airline launched its British subsidiary: Wizz Air UK.

Baggage
Wizz Air allows all passengers only to bring 1 small cabin bag with a maximum weight of 10 kg and a maximum dimension of 40x30x20 cm. For an additional charge, passengers can bring a piece of cabin baggage with the maximum dimensions of 55x40x23 cm. For checked baggage, there must be paid an additional charge as well.
