It was opened in September 2006 and because of that also called New Bangkok International Airport, the second airport of the capital is Bangkok Don Mueang Airport. How many terminals does Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport have?
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport has only one terminal, but it’s one of the largest in the world. The airport terminal has five floors accessible to passengers, namely Level B (Airport Rail Link), Level 1 (Public Transportations, bus and taxi), Level 2 (Arrivals), Level 3 (Shops & Restaurants) and Level 4 (Departures).
Many travellers withdraw Thai baht on arrival at the airport and receive notes of 1,000 Baht. With those, you can not buy tickets for the train Airport Rail Link. So you have to buy something small first, for example a Thai sim card or a bottle of water, in order to buy a token for the Airport Rail Link.
In April 2023, Satellite Terminal 1 just south of Terminal 1 will open its doors, the new terminal has a capacity of 15 million passengers per year. SAT1 has its own check-in facilities and security checkpoints and is connected to Terminal 1 by means of an APM (automated people mover). Thai Airways, Thai Smile Airways and Bangkok Airways are going to make use of Satellite Terminal 1. In 2025 or 2026, the ‘Eastern Expansion’ project should be completed, which will increase the capacity of the main terminal by 15 million passengers per year.

RACIST ALLERT!!!
The driver was so mean when he knew I was from an Asian country. I don't know what's wrong and he was calling his co-taxi drivers and started laughing. When I arrived at my destination, I asked to pay by scan and he tapped the seat where the scan code was located and asked me for 600 baht even though my payment was supposed to be less than 500 (I don't have any baggage, just a small shoulder bag so, I don't have to pay for any extra charges). He was hurrying me to pay and asked if I really had money and then laughed.
Hello, Mr. 6501020! I hope you did sleep well.
Hi guys, I would like to advise you to book your cab through Grab app instead of taking those taxi at the airport. My taxi driver told us that it was Friday and there are lots of traffic. He charged us for 2 bags (65 or 75 baht each). 60 baht driver charge and toll fee. He turn the meter on and took us the long way I guess. Since we were sitting in the back we can’t really see the meter very well b/c there was cloth that was hanging from his rare view mirror. When he first turn on the meter I saw that it started from 45 baht and by the time we reached our hotel it was 2200 baht plus 300 baht tips. We gave him 2500 baht. Our hotel was like 20-30 mins away not so far. Our hotel in general was charging 1400 baht for airport pick up. I thought airports taxi would be much cheaper after watching all Bangkok airport vlogs on YouTube. But I almost paid the double. Learned my lesson. Next time to Bangkok I am using grab from airport. If I would have take grab that night then it would have been less than 1000 baht. My taxi driver definitely ripped us off. I don’t appreciate that.
The yellow and green taxis will rob you. My taxi man hid the meter with his hat and over charged me. Get a grab instead and you will see the right price
