Public transport

Train to Birmingham

Birmingham Airport has its own train station, called Birmingham International. The airport is connected to Birmingham International by the free Air-Rail Link, the monorail (automated people mover) takes travellers in only 2 minutes to and from the terminal. From the airport’s railway station runs at least every 10 minutes a train to the main railway station Birmingham New Street. There are several trains available, the carriers are Virgin Trains, West Midlands Railway / London Northwestern Railway, Cross Country and Transport for Wales.

The price of a ticket for a single journey (Anytime Day Single) is £ 4.30 for adults and £ 2.15 for children from 5 up to 15 years. Tickets can be purchased at the information desk or from ticket machines located at railway stations in Birmingham. Travel time by train is 10 to 15 minutes. Train to Coventry

Coventry, the other major city close to the airport, can also be reached by train. Several times per hour trains depart from Birmingham International to Coventry railway station, the monorail Air-Rail Link connects the terminal with the airport’s railway station. Travel time to and from Coventry is approximately 14 minutes, an Anytime Day Single ticket costs £ 3.00 per person, children pay half the price.
