Cairo Airport is located northeast of Cairo. From the city, you can reach the airport by following the streets Salah Salem, El-Orouba and Airport Road.
How many terminals does Cairo Airport have?
Cairo Airport has four terminals, known as terminals T1, T2, T3 and the Seasonal Flight Terminal. Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are connected to each other via a bridge. Terminal 1 is located north of the other terminals and is connected to T2 and T3 by an Automated People Mover. The Seasonal Flight Terminal is located to the west of Terminal 3.
Does Cairo Airport have an Automated People Mover (APM)?
Yes, Cairo Airport has an Automated People Mover on the landside of the airport. It is called the Cairo International Airport Automated People Mover and it runs along Terminal 1, AirMall, Car Park, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Travel time between T3 and T1 is 5 minutes maximum.
The distance from Cairo Airport to the centre of Cairo is 22 kilometres. By car, it takes 30 minutes to get to the centre of Cairo.
