Appalling airport, packed, cramped, dirty, and no where near enough seats - we were on an afternoon flight wiyj every bit of floor taken up by people sitting on it. Insane
Arriving to the airport after midnight. Was kicked uout of the airport as the airport is closed from 12-4am. No able to drink coffee buy wather or go to the restroom everything was closed any cafeteria was even provided for people waiting for they first fly outside of the airport no restroom- feeling like a homeless in the street. After 4am when they again opened the airport didn't want to let me in and were screaming as i was not having a flight. Even i had my period days i could not use the restroom. The only opiton was to wait outside of the airport all night. First bus coming after 4 and car rental what was my plan fromnth begginng start at 8 am. Welcome to Sicilia - looks like not an Europe with this customer service !!! Very disappointed and will not come again. Even if u want to make a restrictions due to civid you need to provide travelers standard service- clean restroom at least something open to be able to wait for the flight/ bus ect.
What a shit show this airport is! Already waiting for almost more than two hours on a flight from Transavia to Paris that is not coming apparently. Nobody can tell you what’s going on. The answer you get is that the airport is closed due to a fire somewhere near the airport. In the meantime some inland flights are leaving to destinations within Italy. Big Fail.
