What is the distance from Copenhagen Airport to the centre of Copenhagen?
Copenhagen Airport is located just outside Copenhagen. This means it takes little time to get from the airport into the city centre. The distance between the two places is 10 kilometres / 6.2 miles, travel time by car is 15 to 20 minutes.

Metro and train to Copenhagen
You can travel by train and metro to the centre of Copenhagen, the prices are the same for both modes of transport. However, metro M2 (yellow) runs more frequently, every 4 to 6 minutes during daytime. The metro station at the airport (Lufthavnen) is located in extension of Terminal 3. The journey time to metro station Kongens Nytorv in the centre of the city is 13 minutes. The stop before is metro station Christianshavn (12 minutes), the following stop is metro station Nørreport (15 minutes). At Nørreport Station you have the possibility to change to six different S-Tog lines. Travelling by metro in Copenhagen is a great experience, because all subways are fully automated and driverless. In total there are four metro lines in Copenhagen, namely M1, M2, M3 (City Circle Line) and M4 (Harbour Line).
Tickets
A ticket for 3 zones costs 36 DKK and is available at the ticket vending machines or from the ticket counter. If you have a Rejsekort, the price is only 23 DKK. You can also purchase a City Pass Small (zone 1-4) for public transport in Copenhagen, for example for 24 hours (80 DKK) or 72 hours (200 DKK). Children under 12 years travel free of charge in the metropolitan area, if accompanied by a paying adult. If you want to go to Copenhagen Central Station, it is better to take the train. The main railway station in Copenhagen (København H) can be reached by train from platform 2 in just under 15 minutes. By bus, you can get to Copenhagen Airport with city buses 5A, 35 and 36 and FlixBus, Gråhundbus and Nettbuss.
