Dubai International Airport
Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in the Middle East and frequently used as a stopover for passengers travelling between Europe and Asia. The airport consists of three terminals and two long runways and has grown in recent years from 51 million passengers in 2011 to 89 million passengers in 2018. A large percentage of flights operated in an out of this airport are by Emirates (Terminal 3) and flydubai (Terminal 2).
Where is Dubai International Airport located?
Dubai International Airport is located north-west of the city of Dubai, not far from the sea and many hotels. By car the airport can easily be reached via highway E 11 and subway trains frequent the route to and from the airport.
How many terminals does Dubai International Airport have?
The airport has three terminals, Terminal 1 (Gate D), Terminal 2 (Gate F) and Terminal 3 (Gates A, B, C). Terminals T1 and T3 are located south of the runways, T2 is located north of them. Terminal 3 is the largest terminal and the hub for Emirates. Concourse D in terminal 3 is the heart of Dubai International Airport with connections to Terminal 1 using the ‘APM airport trains’ and to Terminal 2 with shuttle buses. Gates B, C and D are within walking distance of each other. If you have to move between gates A and B you will have to use the ‘APM airport trains’.
