General information
Geneva Airport is the second busiest airport in Switzerland after Zurich Airport, at a very short distance from Geneva and the French border. Many of the flights at the airport are operated by Swiss and easyJet Switzerland. The airport consists of two terminals (T1 and T2) and a long runway of 3,900 metres. People departing from Geneva Airport Terminal 1 to an airport in France can use the check-in desks and security check in the French sector (“secteur France”). Travellers flying from a French destination to Geneva Airport can choose to take the French or Swiss exit. Travellers flying from a Swiss or international destination to Geneva Airport must first go through Swiss customs and then decide to leave the airport via the Swiss or French exit (“destination France”). Interestingly, the French exit is on Swiss territory, via the Route Douanière and Route de Ferney you will reach the French village of Ferney-Voltaire in 10 minutes.

Latest airport reviews
Possibly the worst Airport I've ever been through. Baggage conveyor belts weren't working which I believe is a daily occurance. We lined up for 1.5hrs to check in bags. Rude staff who would rather chat amongst themselves than look after their customers. Shuttle bus was absolutely filthy most especially the stability handles, they are a major health issue. I'll avoid Geneva Airport at all costs in the future.
Awful airport for too many reasons to list; recently I had particularly bad experiences with incompetent staff at the Air Canada and Qatar Airline counters.
I have used the airport more than 100 times since I live in Geneva.
Its not the nicest, but it does the job, and quite convenient for a city of this size. New non shenghen terminal is an improvement. Lounge situation is OK, they tend to be on a small scale. Its well connected to the center by train, (10min), security queues are usually short (between 5 to 15min) and I have never waited long for luggage. If you have an early morning flight, its better to use the fast track access, this is when it gets crowded. Otherwise I usually arrive 1hr before a flight and its enough.
