Bus and train to Glasgow
Public transport is the cheapest way of travelling into the heart of Glasgow. You will need to take bus 757 (McGill’s) to Paisley Gilmour Street Station. After about 20 minutes you can get off, at the bus stop next to the railway station of Paisley. During the day, a bus departs from the airport (Stance 7) to the train station every 15 minutes. At Paisley Gilmour Street Station you can catch a train, at least every 10 minutes there is a train heading to Glasgow Central.
A combined ticket for bus and train is available at Glasgow Airport and the main railway station Glasgow Central for £ 3.60. The journey time including one change from bus to train in Paisley is approximately 45 minutes. You can also use the bus Hospital Connect (First 77) and travel directly into the city, this bus service, however, takes at least one hour to get to Buchanan Bus Station. Glasgow Airport Express to Glasgow
The quickest way to get to the centre of Glasgow is the Glasgow Airport Express (First 500). Every 10 minutes a bus leaves from the airport (Stance 1) and Buchanan Bus Station in the city. During the night the bus service runs every hour. The journey time to the central bus station of Glasgow is 25 minutes, but you can also get off earlier at Glasgow Central and Queen Street Station. The buses are equipped with comfortable seats and free WiFi.
A ticket can be bought on the spot from the bus driver or through the Glasgow Airport Express website, a return ticket is valid for 28 days. From Glasgow Central, you can travel by train to places like East Kilbride and Edinburgh. Every 20 to 30 minutes there is a train to East Kilbride, for which you pay £ 3.90 per person.
