The M11 metro line will open at the beginning of 2020, it runs from the airport via İhsaniye, Işıklar Otogar, Göktürk, Kemerburgaz and Kağıthane to metro station Gayrettepe in the district of Şişli. Gayrettepe is a station in Beşiktaş conveniently located for the Levent business district. In addition, you can transfer to metro M2 to the city centre and Metrobus, a popular means of transport.

From Gayrettepe, the business area and the tourist area (Taksim and Sultanahmet) of Istanbul can be reached with a transfer to metro line M2, well-known subway stations are Taksim and Şişhane. The airport will have three metro stations where passengers can board the metro. At present, little is known about the price, travel time and timetable of this transport option. The western part of the M11 metro line between Istanbul Airport and metro station Halkalı will not be opened before 2022. Please consult website Istanbul Airport for more information.
