Flybus to Reykjavik

Flybus takes travellers to the capital of Iceland, the bus leaves about 35 to 40 minutes after each flight arrival. The final stop in Reykjavik is BSI Bus Terminal, from here you can reach the centre on foot or by taxi. Furthermore, you can travel from BSI Bus Terminal to other parts of the beautiful country. The journey from Keflavik Airport to the bus station takes 50 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased at Keflavik Airport and online through the Flybus website. Prices are listed below; children up to 11 years of age can travel for free. Flybus is able to bring you directly to your hotel as well, this extra service is named Flybus Plus and slightly more expensive (single 4,299 ISK, return 7,999 ISK).

You can also reach the capital of Iceland by public transport, bus number 55 of Strætó runs ten times a day between Keflavik Airport and Reykjavik. The bus route is mainly used by Icelanders, much less by foreign tourists. The advantage is the lower price (1,880 ISK), the disadvantage the longer journey time (1 hour and 20 minutes). Travel time from the airport to bus stop Fjörður is 50 minutes, here you can change to bus line 1 to Hlemmur with the same ticket. MR station in the centre of Reykjavik can be reached in half an hour.
