General information
The city of the world famous rock band The Beatles and football clubs Liverpool FC and Everton FC has its own airport south of the city. Liverpool Airport is named after one of the band members (John Lennon) of The Beatles. It is an important base for airlines easyJet and Ryanair. Where is Liverpool Airport situated?
The airport is south of the city centre and accessible via the M57, M62 and M56 motorways. If you want to get to the airport from the city of Liverpool you can travel via the A561 or A562. Liverpool Airport is easier to access since the opening of the new Mersey Gateway Bridge, a toll road (£ 2.00) between Runcorn and Widnes.

Liverpool Airport has a modern terminal north of the runway. In the terminal you will find the Arrivals hall on the right and 45 check-in desks on the left. The security check (Departures) is located on the first floor, accessible via elevators and stairs on the left. Be aware, after the security check you will have to walk for a minimum of 10 minutes to the boarding gates via shops, bars and restaurants.
