Bus to Liverpool
Outside the terminal buses operated by Arriva depart towards the centre of the city. The most frequently used bus by tourists is express service 500. This bus takes you in 30 minutes to and from Liverpool One Bus Station, next to Albert Dock. There are two major bus stations in the centre of Liverpool, the other is Queen Square Bus Station next to Liverpool Lime Street railway station. Bus 500 also stops near Queen Square Bus Station and Lime Street and Liverpool Central train stations. Bus 500 leaves every half hour from the airport and out of the city, from the very early morning till late. The price for a single journey on the bus is £ 2.30 for adults and £ 1.20 for children up to 18 years. However, it is more economical to buy a ‘Day Saver’ ticket valid for one day of unlimited travel in the Merseyside district, the price is only £ 4.60 for adults and £ 2.30 for children up to 18 years. You can buy tickets from the bus driver with cash or card (contactless), it also possible to use your MetroCard.
Buses 80A, 82A and 86A will also take you to the centre of Liverpool, but you will be on the way 15 to 30 minutes longer. If you want to go to Liverpool South Parkway railway station, you can take bus 80A or bus 86A, the journey time is 15 minutes on average. Via Liverpool South Parkway you can travel further by train to Liverpool, Manchester and many other destinations. Bus services 80A, 82A and 86A depart every 20 to 30 minutes to and from Liverpool Airport. An adult ticket is priced at £ 2.30, whereas a ticket for children costs £ 1.20. Other buses that run from the airport are bus 81A to Bootle and bus 89A to St Helens. Bootle and St Helens are located north of Liverpool Airport, around 100,000 people live in both cities. Bus and train to Manchester
Bus services 80A and 86A stop at the nearest railway station Liverpool South Parkway, a bus journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Trains run from Liverpool South Parkway to the main railway stations in Manchester, namely Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria and Manchester Oxford Road. There are several providers, such as East Midlands Railway and Northern Rail. On the route, trains make a stop at Widnes and Warrington Central. You should take into account a journey time of approximately 50 minutes, tickets for a single journey cost approximately £ 10.00.
