Where is Madeira Airport?

The island Madeira is, together with the islands of Porto Santo, Ilhas Desertas and Ilhas Selvagens, one of the two autonomous regions of Portugal. The main airport of the Portuguese archipelago is Madeira Airport, located east of the capital Funchal. The terminal and parking spaces of Madeira Airport can be reached via exit 22 of the road VR1. In March 2017 the airport was named after Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best footballers in the world was born in Funchal in 1985.
