JKIA Terminal 2 is quite modern and is mainly used by low-cost carrier Fly540. Another Kenyan low-cost carrier, Jambojet, makes use of T1A for international flights and T1D for domestic flights. During rush hour, a shuttle bus (Airport Shuttle) runs between terminals T1 and T2 every 10 minutes. Outside rush hour, the shuttle service is available every 30 minutes. Walking is possible as well, it will take you 15 minutes.
Directly outside the Arrivals hall of Terminal 1A you will find the offices of telephone providers Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom. Here you can buy a Kenyan SIM card which will come in handy during your stay in Nairobi and Kenya. Besides, there is a bank (Absa) where you can withdraw money.
