Bus and tram to Nantes
Bus ‘Navette Aéroport’ runs from the airport to the main railway station and city centre of Nantes, this bus service is also known as ‘Tan Air’. The bus departs every 20 minutes from Monday to Saturday in both directions, on Sunday and public holidays every 30 minutes.
Travel time to the train station (Gare SNCF – Accès Sud) is 21 minutes, to the cultural centre (Lieu Unique – Cité des Congrès, 22 min.) and city centre (Centre-ville – Commerce, 28 min.) it takes a bit longer. The price of a ‘ticket navette aéroport’ is € 9.00.
Yet, there is a more economical alternative. If you travel by bus number 48 to Neustrie and change here to tram line 3 in the direction of ‘Marcel Paul’, a ticket costs only € 1.60. Neustrie is located 5 minutes from the airport; the tram stop in the city centre is named Commerce.
Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver and are valid for 60 minutes, including transfers. The total journey time of the second and thus cheaper option is 35 minutes.
