Oslo Airport

General information

Oslo Airport, also known as Oslo Airport Gardermoen, is Norway’s largest airport. The capital of Norway is served by two airports, Oslo Airport and Sandefjord Airport Torp. Travellers can get to the centre of Oslo by train, bus and taxi. An excellent accommodation opposite the terminal is Radisson Blu Airport Hotel.

Where is Oslo Airport situated?

The airport is located north of Oslo. You can reach the capital of the vast country through the E6, the nearest town (Jessheim) is also accessible via this motorway.

How many terminals does Oslo Airport have?

Oslo Airport has one large terminal consisting of a main building, East Pier (International Schengen, E gates / International non-Schengen, F gates), West Pier (Domestic, A gates), South Pier (Domestic, B gates) and North Pier (Domestic, C gates / International, D gates). The airport’s renewed and extended terminal officially opened on 27 April 2017. The airport building is considered as the “greenest terminal in the world” and has a capacity of 32 million passengers a year.

Norway is one of the most expensive countries in Europe, especially when it comes to alcohol and tobacco. If you want to buy alcohol and/or tobacco, you have the option at Oslo Airport for a better price. This is possible at the baggage reclaim area in the largest Arrival Duty Free Shop worldwide. The prices here are lower than the prices elsewhere in Norway, but you have to take into account the maximum amount you can buy per passenger (Alcohol and Tobacco quotas).
