Train to Oslo
The cheapest way to get into the centre of Oslo is the train of NSB Norwegian State Railways. Every 10 to 30 minutes a train departs from the airport (Oslo Lufthavn) to the main railway station (Oslo S). Tickets cost 93 NOK for a single trip and can be bought from the ticket vending machines and ticket desks, another possibility is purchasing it online.
The journey time from the airport to the city and vice versa is 23 minutes, the trains R10, R11, L12 leave from platform 4 (Oslo Lufthavn) and always stop at Lillestrøm Station. You can get here in 12 minutes, a ticket from the airport costs 72 NOK.
Children from 4 up to 15 years and seniors from 67 years pay only half the money, the price is 47 NOK. Children below 4 years travel free by train in Norway. Flytoget to Oslo
The most comfortable way of travelling to and from Oslo Airport is high-speed rail link Flytoget, also known as the Airport Express Train. A train departs to the main railway station Oslo S every 10 minutes, three times per hour direct and three times per hour indirect through Lillestrøm Station and onwards to Drammen Station.
Depending on which train you will take, travel time to Oslo Central Station (Oslo Sentralstasjon) is 19 or 22 minutes. This means Flytoget is not much faster than the ‘normal’ train. If you have to be in the west of Oslo it is better choose for an indirect train, after 28 minutes you can get off at Nationaltheatret Station.
A ticket can be purchased in advance through the ‘Flytoget – Betalingsapp’ and from ticket machines at Oslo Airport Gardermoen (Flytoget tickets and fares). Children under 16 years travel for free when accompanied by an adult.
Drammen is three times per hour the terminus of the train, the price for adults is 260 NOK. This is 40 NOK more than the ‘normal’ train, while the journey time to the fifth largest city in Norway is the same (60 minutes’. Please consult website and timetable Flytoget for more information.

Flybussen to Oslo
It is also possible to travel by bus between the airport and Oslo, travel time from Oslo Airport to Oslo Bus Terminal in the centre of the city is about 45 minutes. This travel option is available two times per hour, in the direction of the city and the airport.
Children travel free on Flybussen services when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. A special family ticket costs 160 NOK and is valid for one adult and up to four children below 16 years.
