Do not recommend under any circumstances. Ciampino airport is tiny with absolutely no facilities bar a McDonald’s seating area that you can’t even order from its BYOM (bring your own McDonald’s). Normally this wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me in terms of my airport experience, size doesn’t always matter however efficiency does. After getting through security I immediately found myself in the back of a snaking que that was making its way up to passport control. After standing for 10 minutes with no movement I walked up to investigate. Upon arriving at passport control I was absolutely shocked to find that there wasn’t a single officer at passport control and all the automatic machines were switched off?! Feeling very stressed as it was looking very likely i was going to miss my flight, I went and found two police officers and explained the situation. To my surprise they straight up laughed in my face and told me “don’t worry, it will open soon”. I’m still flabbergasted that I had to explain that opening “soon” isn’t an option for passport control when it’s the last obstacle in the way of boarding a flight. There were at least 300 people at risk of missing their flights and after explaining this again they continued to laugh and told me someone would open passport control soon. After another 5-10 minutes, to my disgust, I see that it is the exact SAME two officers who waltz into the booths in passport control and reopen it! So all this time they had been standing and having a chat while nobody could access their flight! 100% will never fly from this airport again and I wouldn’t if I were you either.

Not recommend. They treat People like a dogs. Before 12 pm they forced us to leave the airport and come back around 4 Am. In December... I've been in many places but this one is the First one where airport is being clode for customers. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
