Bus to Trapani
The local bus of AST runs between the airport and Trapani, also passing through the town of Paceco. The bus departs approximately every hour from Trapani Airport between 06:00 hours and 22:00 hours. It takes 40 minutes to reach the city centre, the final stop at the port of Trapani can be reached in 45 minutes. Here you can take the boat to the beautiful islands of Levanzo, Marettimo, Favignana and Pantelleria. The price for a bus ticket is € 4.90 per person. Tickets are available at the ticket machine inside the terminal (card only) and from the bus driver (cash only). Several times a day, AST also offers a connection to Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. The bus station at Trapani Airport (Fermata autobus AST / Salemi / Lumia) is located 250 metres from the terminal, once outside you will have to walk to the left. Autoservizi Salemi to Palermo and Marsala
If you want to go to Palermo or Marsala, you can take the bus of Autoservizi Salemi. This bus company organizes bus transportation to and from the capital of Sicily and the coastal town of Marsala, known for its wine. From the airport two bus services (SS115, SP21) run in two directions, to Marsala and Palermo via Palermo Airport. The journey time is 30 minutes (Marsala) or 1 hour and 30 minutes (Palermo). In Palermo the bus terminates at ‘Viale Lazio’ in the northwest of the city. The final stop in Marsala is located at Marsala’s train station in the street ‘Viale Amerigo Fazio’. The bus runs 7 to 9 times a day in both directions. Tickets can be purchased at the airport from the Autoservizi Salemi desk or the bus driver. Salvatore Lumia to Agrigento
Agrigento, on the southern coast of Sicily, is also accessible by bus from Trapani Airport. The capital of the Agrigento region is best known for the nearby Valley of the Temples (Italian: Valle dei Templi, Ancient Greek: Akragas). This archaeological area is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most visited sights in Sicily. From Monday to Saturday buses of Salvatore Lumia run between the airport (Trapani Birgi Aeroporto) and Agrigento three times a day, in the morning, afternoon and evening. On Sundays and public holidays, there is only one bus in the direction to and from Agrigento. Travel time is 3 hours and the price for a single journey € 11.90.
