Metro to Valencia
The red line 3 and the green line 5 of the subway will take you in 20 minutes to Xàtiva metro station (zone A) in the centre of the city, a short distance from railway station ‘Estació del Nord’. Valencia Airport is situated in zone D. The airport’s metro station is located on level -1 of the terminal, on arrival at the airport you will have to walk to the left. From the airport a metro runs to the city on average every 5 to 10 minutes. The Valencia CF football stadium (Estadio de Mestalla) is directly accessible by metro line 5 from Valencia Airport, travel time to the nearby Aragón metro station is 25 minutes.
Metro tickets
At Valencia Airport metro station you can buy tickets from five ticket machines and one ticket desk. At the ticket machine you have five options: Single ticket (€ 4.80), SUMA 10 card 1 zona (€ 8.00), SUMA 10 card 2 zonas (€ 12.00), SUMA 10 card 3 zonas (€ 20.00) and TuiN card. The first time you travel, you will have to pay € 1.00 extra for a paper card (cardboard) or € 2.00 extra for a plastic card. This means that a single journey from Valencia Airport to the city costs € 5.80 for the first time. Your pass is rechargeable and can be used again at a later time. Travel Tip: Are you with three or more people travelling from and to the airport, then SUMA 10 card 3 zonas is recommended. This ticket costs 20 euros, the price for a single journey is € 3.33 (3 persons), € 2.50 (4 persons) or € 2.00 (5 persons). This option is more affordable than a single ticket priced at € 4.80. Bus to Valencia
Another possibility is the bus. Bus line 150 (Fernanbús) runs from Valencia Airport via the towns of Manises, Quart de Poblet and Mislata to Valencia. A single ticket costs € 4.80, seniors from 65 years of age pay only € 3.35. You can buy your ticket from the bus driver. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from the airport, but not on Sundays and holidays. The journey time between Valencia Airport and Mercat Central (Avenida Barón de Carcer 26 bus stop) in the centre of the city is 40 minutes.
