Since the 1st of June 2012 it is possible to travel by train between Warsaw Airport and Warsaw. This is a faster travel option than the bus, the price makes no difference. The airport’s underground train station is called Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina and directly accessible from Terminal A. From Arrivals 1 you can get there in 2 minutes, it’s a 5-minute walk from Arrivals 2. A train departs in the direction of the city every 30 minutes. Rail transportation is carried out by SKM (suburban railway – line S2) and KM (Koleje Mazowieckie – RL). If you want to go to centre of the city, you should get off at Warszawa Śródmieście (line S2) or central station Warszawa Centralna (KM). Warsaw Airport is located in zone 1 / strefa 1.

Train tickets
The train journey takes on average 22 minutes, a ticket costs 4.40 PLN for both the red/white SKM trains and the green/white KM trains. You can buy ZTM tickets from the ticket machines on the way to the platforms. ZTM carries out public transport in the capital of Poland. If you are planning to use public transportation more often, it is better to buy a One-day ticket for 15.00 PLN, a Weekend ticket for 24.00 PLN or a 3-day ticket for 36.00 PLN. Public transportation in Warsaw is free for children up to 6 years, children aged 7 to 16 years can travel for half the price. Please consult website and timetable SKM and KM for more information.
