The airport of Alicante is located on Spain’s Costa Blanca and is very popular by holidaymakers. Most of the tourists arrive from the United Kingdom and Germany. It is the busiest airport in the Valencian Community and an important base for low-cost carrier Ryanair. Alicante Airport has one large and modern terminal.
Where is Alicante Airport situated?
The airport is situated southwest of the city. Alicante Airport is easily accessible from all directions, it is well signposted along the A-7 and AP-7 motorways.
How many terminals does Alicante Airport have?
In 2011, the old Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 were replaced by the modern New Terminal. The Alicante Airport terminal consists of five floors, namely Floor -2 Bus shuttle / transfers, Floor 0 Arrivals, Floor 1 Access Parking, Floor 2 Departures and Floor 3 Offices. The first floor of the terminal gives access to the fourth floor of parking garage P1 via two walkways.
Terminal 1 is likely to be reopened in the future. The check-in desks (10-41, 50-81, 90-121, 130-161) can be found in the middle and right of the Departures area, on the left is the security check that gives access to the boarding gates.
