Baku Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Azerbaijan named after former president Heydar Aliyev. The airport consists of two terminals and two runways. Baku Airport is also widely used for cargo flights operated by Silk Way West Airlines.
Where is Baku Airport situated?
Baku Airport is located northeast of the modern capital. Through the so-called Airport Road, you can get from the airport into the city and to the motorways M1, M2 and M4.
How many terminals does Baku Airport have?
Baku Airport has two terminals, known as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In April 2014, the airport’s new triangular terminal (T1) was put into use. Terminal 1 of Baku Airport is very modern and consists of four floors. The check-in desks and Arrivals hall are located on the ground floor (Floor 1), the security check and passport control on Floor 3. The airport lounges can be found on Floor 4.
