General information

Brasov Airport, also known as Brașov Ghimbav International Airport, is a new airport in the middle of Romania. The first flight was operated on June 15, 2023. When Brasov Airport opened, it was the first airport to open in Romania after a period of 50 years. It is the 17th commercial airport in the country. The majority of the flights are operated by low-cost carrier Wizz Air.

Where is Brasov Airport situated?

The airport is located northwest of Brasov, close to Ghimbav and Bartolomeu. By car, you can reach Brasov Airport via the E68 road.

How many terminals does Brasov Airport have?

Brasov Airport has a modern two-storey terminal building. On the ground floor you will find, from left to right, Arrivals, the security check for domestic flights and 10 check-in desks. The security check for international flights is on the first floor. The terminal is new, but facilities such as a coffee bar or shop are not available.
