General information
Bristol Airport is an international airport in the west of England, close to the border with Wales. The airport is mainly used by easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair and TUI Airways. From Bristol Airport, the city centres of both Bristol and Bath are accessible by bus and taxi. Bristol Airport is at a very short distance from Pilton, known as the location of Glastonbury Festival. Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport is an excellent hotel within walking distance of the terminal. The new Transport Interchange officially opened in July 2025, offering flat-level access to the terminal from the Drop Off & Pick Up area and the new bus station.
Where is Bristol Airport situated?
Bristol Airport is located southwest of Bristol in the county of Somerset. Bristol Airport’s location is not ideal, as it is still about a 25-minute drive from the M5 motorway after junction 19 (from the north) or junction 21 (from the south). However, its position relative to Bristol itself is convenient.
How many terminals does Bristol Airport have?
The airport has one terminal consisting of three floors. On the ground floor you will find check-in desks 1 to 50 on the left and Arrivals on the right. You can reach the security check and boarding gates via the first floor.
