The capital of Argentina has three airports, Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport (Aeroparque) is known as the national airport of the country’s capital. The other two airports are Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini Airport (Ezeiza) and Buenos Aires El Palomar Airport (temporarily closed). All airports are managed by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000. Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport has one runway and one terminal. Most flights from and to the airport are operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Aeroparque Jorge Newbery is situated between a busy highway and the sea, in the north of Buenos Aires. The location of Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport is pretty good, not far from the city centre and close to the districts of Belgrano, Palermo and Recoleta. Well-known venues close to the airport are Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo for horse racing and Campo Argentino de Polo for polo and live concerts.

Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport’s passenger terminal has an L shape with in total 22 gates. On the ground floor of the terminal, you can find check-in sector A (check-in desks 1 to 45) and Domestic Arrivals in the middle / left side, while check-in sector B (check-in desks 46 to 68) and International Arrivals are located on the right side. The Departures hall can be found on the first floor of the terminal. The security check for domestic flights (gates 1 to 16) is divided in a zone for ‘Destinos Sur, Patagonia’ and a zone for ‘Destinos Centro y Norte’.
In middle of the terminal (ground floor) you can find everything you probably need close to each other, such as restaurants, ticket machines for booking a taxi and information counters of the airport and Buenos Aires (Tourist Assistance Center). In addition, there is an OPEN 25 HS! kiosk where you can purchase a SUBE card for public transport in Buenos Aires.
